    Melksham lights up for Christmas!

    The Christmas Lights Group have dedicated this year’s festive display to Melksham man Roy Bowen who was influential in founding the group around 20 years ago. Sadly, Roy died earlier this year. His widow, Julia, switched on Melksham’s Christmas lights on Saturday 26th November. Paul Weymouth and his team of volunteers work around the clock to make sure Melksham’s lights are the best within miles!

    Melksham supports Children in Need 2011

    SCHOOLS and businesses across the town have shown their support for this year’s Children in Need fundraising event, by dressing in spots and fancy dress, with a handful of brave teachers at one school opting to have their legs waxed. Money is still being donated for the BBC’s annual Children in Need appeal, but the current total raised on Friday 18th November is already over £26million – an increase on previous years.
